Complete Audio Version for Jean E. Langdon

Happy Mother’s Day – 2022!
At 53 years old, I recognize how blessed I am to still have both my parents still with me on this Earth.
We don’t live especially close, though a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Bristol, PA to lower Delaware is really nothing when compared to how we spent my twenties when I lived in Oklahoma.
The story of Jesus is the earliest story I remember being told, and it was my mother, Jean Elizabeth Langdon, who told it to me, not just in words but in the example of her life.
When I was 8 years old, I sang in the children’s choir at St. John’s Luthern Church, in the South Philadelphia suburb of Tinicum, PA.
During the Easter Sunday service that year, I sang a solo performance of the old hymn, “I Love to Tell the Story.” It was my favorite thing to do in those days.
This year, for Mother’s Day, I want to honor my mother by telling “The Story” from the very source – Mark’s Gospel of Jesus.
In this complete reading of “The Gospel According to Mark,” I read the “New Contemporary English Version” of the Bible, which you can find HERE.
I hope you enjoy this version of the Greatest. Story. Ever.
I love you, Mom!
Happy Mother’s Day, 2022!!
